Job Overview

The Director of Patient Financial Services plays a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and success of William Newton Memorial Hospital. This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of patient accounting, including billing, collections, and revenue cycle management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets for patient financial services, ensuring accurate forecasting and effective cost control.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coach a team of business office staff, providing guidance on best practices and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Clinical Integration: Collaborate with clinicians to ensure seamless integration of patient financial services into clinical workflows, improving efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, making informed decisions to drive business growth.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, maintaining a high level of compliance and minimizing risk exposure.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate required; college degree preferred.
  • Experience: Five or more years of previous hospital experience in all aspects of business office functions is required; critical access hospital experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with physicians, staff, and external partners.
  • Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
