Dental Hygienist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Savannah Dental. As a key member of our oral health care team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our practice.
Job Summary:The Registered Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing comprehensive oral health care services to patients of all ages. This includes conducting initial mouth screenings, identifying conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis, and educating patients on proper teeth care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
- Clean and help protect patients' teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
- Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
- Take X-rays and inter oral scans
- Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
- Associates Degree (A.S/A.A), or equivalent in Dental Hygiene, preferred
- Three to five years of experience; or a combination of experience and education, required
- Dental Hygiene License in Georgia
