  • Identifies legal obligations and government reporting requirements impacting human resources operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Guarantees precise and timely execution of bi-weekly payroll updates and transactions, including onboarding, separations, and all related adjustments to compensation, taxes, and deductions.
  • Maintains and supervises the upkeep of employee records.
  • Ensures adherence to federal, state, and local payroll wage and hour laws and best practices.
  • Conducts recruitment, interviews, and assessments to fill open positions.
  • Organizes and leads new employee orientation sessions.
  • Manages daily employee administration, including onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Oversees employee benefits programs.
  • Evaluates services, coverage, and options from insurance providers to identify programs that best serve the organization's needs.
  • Facilitates data transfer to external vendors, plan providers, and auditors.
  • Collaborates with management to address employee disciplinary matters, offering guidance on appropriate resolutions and mediating grievances.
  • Coordinates necessary training for management and staff.
  • Conducts compensation analysis within the labor market to establish competitive salary rates.
  • Partners with senior management on personnel legal matters and engages external legal counsel as needed.
  • Represents the organization in personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Performs additional human resource administrative tasks as required.
  • Handles other corporate responsibilities and projects as assigned for the benefit of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Human Resource administration with progressively increasing responsibilities.
  • Proficient in ADP WFN for payroll, HRIS, ATS, and performance management.
  • Familiarity with federal Department of Labor regulations and state employment laws.
  • Ability to cultivate professional working relationships.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year institution in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • HR certifications from HRCI and/or SHRM (PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP).
