Vice President for Academic Affairs

Job Summary:
The Vice President for Academic Affairs will lead the Academic Affairs division at GeorgiaGov, overseeing the administration and evaluation of institutional services. This role requires a strong leader who can supervise and advise on matters related to Academic Affairs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize the division's work to meet the goals of GeorgiaGov.
- Advise the President on all matters relating to Academic Affairs.
- Review and make recommendations on appointments, salary increases, promotions, or dismissal of faculty and staff within Academic Affairs.
- Manage and oversee financial/budget operations of the division.
- Foster collaborations with other divisions/departments, programs, and key campus units to enhance the quality of education.
- Establish a plan that supports the recruitment and retention of highly qualified faculty, staff, and students.
- Keep current on local and regional workforce trends and needs.
- Monitor program enrollment, recommend the implementation or discontinuance of academic programs, and approve new curricula and revisions.
- Develop and evaluate division personnel and processes to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
- Evaluate the quality of academic programs to meet state standards and industry needs.
- Provide leadership for programmatic and institutional accreditation.
- Participate in strategic and college planning.
- Develop and implement a plan to ensure staffing, space, and supplies are adequate to achieve desired outcomes.
- Promote, develop, and maintain articulation agreements.
- Oversee and evaluate library services and facilities to continually improve quality.
- Create and maintain a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of work-related experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctorate in higher education or a related field from an accredited college or university.
