Key Responsibilities- Provide front desk support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and assisting with general inquiries.
- Perform equipment room duties, such as checking in and checking out equipment, generating reports, and maintaining inventory.
- Supervise a work crew responsible for cleaning and manual labor projects within the substation.
- Conduct traffic accident reports, coordinate the disposal of abandoned vehicles, and issue citations for parking violations and other infractions.
- Work a variety of rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- One year of experience in law enforcement or a related field.
- Ability to develop rapport and obtain cooperation from crime victims, witnesses, and informants.
- Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports.
- Ability to safely operate a marked police vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions.
- Valid California Driver License, Class C or higher.
Incumbents will be working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with the public, and performing a variety of tasks that require attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Selection ProcessThe selection process will consist of a Structured Oral Panel Interview, where candidates will be rated on their qualifications and experience. Only the most successful candidates will be placed on the eligible list.
