Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at ITAC. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for our clients in the process and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply knowledge of analysis, synthesis, and design of industrial processes to ensure process safety, machine safety, and operability throughout all phases of design.
  • Work under the direction of Lead Engineers, potentially working on multiple projects simultaneously, to collaborate with a multi-discipline team to optimize mechanical designs within project constraints.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and development of project execution, including tracking budgets and schedules.
  • Lead the mechanical engineering effort for assigned projects, ensuring understanding and execution of contracted scope of work while identifying potential changes.
  • Troubleshoot operating processes and equipment, developing effective engineering solutions, and provide guidance to the team to optimize process designs.
  • Interpret and comply with regulations, codes, and industry standards to meet design requirements and best practices.
  • Work with clients and other design disciplines to establish project basis of design and develop design options.
  • Develop design criteria for all project stages (feasibility studies, basic engineering, conceptual design, detailed design).
  • Perform material and energy balances, formulating process design strategy, and create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in design engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
