Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at IKO North America - Glass Fiber Inc. This role is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of mechanical equipment and machinery within our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to identify and address potential problems.
  • Inspect, maintain, and service mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maintain equipment efficiency.
  • Execute mechanical repairs and replacements, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations.
  • Install, upgrade, or modify mechanical systems and equipment as needed.
  • Keep comprehensive records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to implement improvements and enhancements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent: technical or vocational training in mechanical maintenance is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), with the ability to effectively work with others in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to handle complex assignments with a proactive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mechanical license or certification.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance technician or similar role.

  • Occasionally lifts, carries, or otherwise moves objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly bends, stoops, stretches, and reaches to stock office supplies, etc.
  • Frequently moves about the facility to survey plant and associates.
  • Regularly operates computer and other office equipment.
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical Certificate/Diploma from Technical or Vocational school preferred
