Job Summary

The primary objective of this position is to increase sales (indirect and direct) in the assigned territory through growing existing customer accounts, expanding current business partnerships, and creating new relationships with accounts covering the Northern New Jersey area.

A key indicator of success for a Customer Business Manager is the ability to build strong relationships. You will collaborate with the inside support team and other key departments to establish solid relationships with customers and suppliers based on Heilind's performance, trust, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with branch leadership within the first two weeks to understand the company vision, key objectives, and individual expectations.
  • Learn the Heilind system and sales tools within the first thirty days, introducing yourself to top accounts and supplier reps in person.
  • Within sixty days, meet with remaining supplier reps and account base, review top 20 accounts with the inside sales team, and load new opportunities into the CRM.
  • By ninety days, strategically plan territory coverage, complete assigned training modules, and identify at least $150,000 in new opportunities.
  • Within six months, accomplish three supplier training events, have ten active new design opportunities, and identify $300,000 in new business not currently enjoyed by Heilind.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a technical field from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least four years of sales/marketing experience, preferably in electronic component distribution or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience as a Field Sales Manager or similar role.
  • Experience with sales tracking software.
  • Commissioned sales, field sales, or related fields experience.
