While prior experience in an orthopedic unit is not necessary, a genuine enthusiasm for patient care is crucial. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comfort and reassurance to patients recovering from surgery, helping them feel secure and at ease during their healing process.
- Manage a fast-paced environment while maintaining a keen focus on patient details across multiple beds in the unit.
- Assist new patients in understanding their post-operative care and ensure they receive the necessary medications for pain management.
- Effectively communicate with families and patients regarding home care instructions and their hospital stay.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses who share your commitment to patient well-being.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license to practice in the relevant state.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in acute care is required (new graduates or nurses without acute care experience may be considered through our residency training program).
- Previous experience in orthopedic or neurological nursing is preferred but not mandatory.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Additional certifications (such as ACLS or PALS) may be necessary depending on the specific unit.

$42.83 per hour
