About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - North Garland. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient surgical services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with operative procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring a sterile environment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, adhering to strict sterility protocols.
  • Collaborate with the circulating nurse and surgical team to maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment.
  • Participate in pre-operative and intra-operative sponge, needle, and instrument counts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Transport surgical equipment to designated cleaning areas and assist with reprocessing and cleaning of instrument sets.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Scrub Technician Certification Program.
  • CPR certification required.
  • 4 years' experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Orthopedic experience preferred.
