Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with a background in construction management to support the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight for construction projects related to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the Eastern Service Area.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA Environmental, Safety, and Health policies.
  • Supervise on-site construction activities and guarantee that completed work adheres to established plans and specifications.
  • Maintain comprehensive daily records of work performed, personnel present, weather conditions, and other critical details.
  • Act as the primary point of contact, coordinating directly with the general contractor.
  • Monitor project progress against the accepted construction schedule and assess contractor reports.
  • Address any deviations from specified materials and procedures with the project engineer.
  • Participate in construction inspections and contract close-out activities.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings with the general contractor and relevant personnel.
  • Prepare necessary documentation including sketches, specifications, and independent cost estimates to support change proposals.
  • Perform project management tasks including operational risk management and safety planning.
  • Review contractor shop drawings and construction submittals, providing feedback to engineering staff.
  • Track and coordinate the closure of acceptance punchlists.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering accredited by ABET, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in construction or maintenance, or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with construction methods, plans, specifications, and national consensus codes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with various project stakeholders.
  • Proficient in office productivity software such as MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Must pass an in-depth government background check and drug screening.
  • Physical ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing stairs and working in various environmental conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of International Building Codes (IBC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation, and project management software.
  • Prior experience in government projects.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
