Job Overview:
Responsible for executing complex preventative maintenance tasks and diagnosing and repairing a diverse range of equipment (including trucks and heavy machinery).

Key Responsibilities:
To succeed in this role, an individual must effectively perform each essential duty. Additional minor tasks may be assigned.


- Conduct repairs on various equipment (including bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front-end loaders, yard trucks, farm tractors, forklifts, and company vehicles).
- Diagnose and repair differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drive systems, air conditioning units, and electrical systems.
- Complete preventative maintenance checklists.
- Maintain records such as work orders, card files, preventative maintenance checklists, and oil samples.
- Service and maintain other equipment such as light plants, water pumps, welders, and additional machinery.
- Adhere to site-specific procedures and detailed job descriptions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities are required.

Qualifications:
The following qualifications are representative of what is necessary to perform this job successfully.

Education:
Not mandatory.

Experience:
A minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.

Training Requirements:
- RCRA and HAZWOPER (24 Hour)
- DOT & M2Z (Driver Only)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in operating tools, equipment, and procedures used in the repair and servicing of vehicles and machinery.
- Ability to effectively communicate necessary repairs or tasks.
- Capable of diagnosing defects and repairing a variety of equipment and vehicles.
- Familiarity with fleet maintenance software programs and knowledge of Total Tire Maintenance Program may be required.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
- Respirators (full face OV/AG or half face with face shield)
- Full face supplied air in certain areas
- Appropriate barrier suits (liquid yellow Tyvek with sleeves, apron, booties; solid white Tyvek)
- Gloves suitable for hazards present (PVC over Nitrile or Butyl for liquid waste; leather work gloves for solid waste)
- Overshoes and waterproof boots
- Safety glasses and hard hats
- Steel-toed shoes
