Heavy Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at New Enterprise Stone & Lime. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Test and inspect mechanical products and equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions in heavy equipment, using engine diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using precision tools and equipment.
- Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keep accurate service records.
- Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
- Repair and diagnose hydraulics and electrical systems.
- Assemble and align drive trains.
- Post-secondary or Career and Technical Center training in mechanics or diesel, or 2 years of experience in lieu of training.
- Verifiable knowledge of mechanical and electrical controls as it relates to mobile equipment.
- Previous experience in the repair and diagnosis of heavy equipment within the underground mines.
- Minimum of Class C Driver's License, Class A or B CDL preferred (or willingness to obtain at request of company).
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
