Job Summary:

The Ambulatory Nurse is a key member of our healthcare team at Dayton Children's, reporting to the Administrative Manager. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, administering medications, and assisting with procedures while maintaining aseptic technique.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform treatments and administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
  • Assist with procedures performed without anesthesia, adhering to aseptic technique.
  • Provide patient and family education to promote health outcomes.
  • Involve family members in planning healthcare and decision-making.
  • Delegate and evaluate healthcare tasks to assistive personnel.
  • Recognize and advocate for individual patient needs.

Department Specific Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to commit to obtaining a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire. You must also be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a Registered Nursing license in the State of Ohio.

Education and Certification:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing (Required)
  • Registered Nursing license in Ohio (Required)
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association (Required)
