About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a Vascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients for the presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting the most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, record patient test results, and report results to physicians.
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
  • Maintain adequate supplies and verify all equipment is in proper working condition, reporting deficiencies and failures.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS, ensuring correct lead markers and patient data/history.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography, or Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
