Responsibilities:

Allan Myers is seeking a motivated and diligent Construction Project Coordinator who is enthusiastic about the heavy civil construction sector.

This role collaborates with the Project Team to strategize and facilitate the successful completion of designated construction engineering projects, ensuring that the project plan is progressing to meet expected timelines.

All work is conducted in accordance with Allan Myers’ policies, procedures, and programs.


Key Duties:


Collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendent to devise effective plans and schedules for project execution, determining the necessary means and methods to achieve project objectives.


Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation, communicating essential information to the Project Team, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure adherence to engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design details.

Identify, procure, and coordinate the delivery of essential materials such as pipes, stone, reinforcing steel, beams, etc.

Work alongside the Project Team and Purchasing Department to ensure timely and cost-effective finalization of all required purchase orders and subcontracts.

Oversee the RFI and submittal process, including the establishment and maintenance of project control logs in CMiC.

Manage owner billings and project-related financial tasks.

Assist the Project Manager in the development of Change Orders and related documentation.

Monitor all work, including that of subcontractors, for compliance with safety regulations in collaboration with the Safety Manager. Maintain project safety records and review the project schedule for activities requiring special safety measures.


Qualifications:


Minimum of 2 years of experience in a construction management role (estimating, operations, and/or engineering). Experience in heavy civil construction is preferred.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required. Ongoing education in construction is highly desirable.

OSHA 30-hour certification is required.

FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification is preferred.

Must have a solid understanding of contract administration systems, job cost management, change order management, labor and equipment reporting, planning and scheduling, preconstruction planning, and safety policies and procedures.
