Key Responsibilities- Obtain patient vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam
- Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients in a clear and concise manner
- Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
- Draw blood and prepare labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing
- Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions
- Respond to all lab messages and call back requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations
- Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with established protocols
- Conduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basis
- Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient information
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
- Set high standards for clinical quality, compliance, and excellence, and model the company's core values of outstanding patient care
- Coordinate and collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies
- Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred
