Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam
  • Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients in a clear and concise manner
  • Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
  • Draw blood and prepare labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing
  • Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions
  • Respond to all lab messages and call back requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations
  • Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with established protocols
  • Conduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basis
  • Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient information
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Additional Responsibilities
  • Set high standards for clinical quality, compliance, and excellence, and model the company's core values of outstanding patient care
  • Coordinate and collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies
Requirements
  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred
