Clinical Teaching Assistant

This is a Part-Time GRANT FUNDED Technical, Clerical, Support and Maintenance position. Hours per work week are not to exceed 19 hours.
The successful candidate will serve as a Clinical Teaching Assistant to faculty in the ACC Nursing Program, working under the supervision of a Master's or Doctoral prepared nursing faculty member. The role involves assisting nursing faculty with the supervision of students during clinical, simulation, and skills lab learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Functions in the role of clinical supervisor
- Responsible for supervision of students' skills performance, student evaluation and other aspects of student learning in the clinical setting
- Consults with nursing faculty members as needed
- Works with diverse group of nursing students in a clinical setting
- Responds to faculty/staff submitted Early Alerts and supports students in establishing goals to promote success
- Assists faculty and staff in identifying trends and researching best practices in student persistence and completion
- Other related duties may be assigned
This role requires work in a clinical environment and must follow and adhere to all the health and safety requirements of the host clinical site as well as those required by Alvin Community College.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor of Science, Nursing
- One (1) year experience working as a Registered Nurse in a clinical hospital setting
- Master of Science, Nursing
- Recent (within the last two years) or current experience in acute care, med/surg
- Experience working with diverse individuals and communities
