Position Summary: At Diverzify, we are seeking a skilled Installation Service Manager (ISM) to oversee and enhance our installation operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring safety at job sites, managing labor schedules, evaluating personnel performance, and maintaining effective communication with clients. The ISM will also play a crucial role in supporting sales efforts for new installations and renovations by assessing existing conditions, providing accurate production timelines, and identifying potential cost implications before project initiation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of integrity and collaboration to enhance teamwork and communication among staff and subcontractors.
  • Educate and mentor field installers on established protocols, tools, and company standards.
  • Uphold company policies regarding subcontractor and union interactions.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure compliance with contract specifications while controlling costs and maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Facilitate effective transition meetings to analyze and document contract details, production rates, and job profitability prior to project commencement.
  • Conduct pre-mobilization assessments within two weeks of scheduled labor to ensure compliance with manufacturer site requirements and optimize labor efficiency.
  • Provide written reports of any scope non-compliance to clients within 24 hours of assessments and confirm corrective actions before scheduling labor.
  • Proactively address installation challenges to ensure timely project completion and minimize outstanding tasks at the conclusion of installations.
  • Allocate resources effectively to align with project budgets and timelines, leveraging knowledge of installer capabilities.
  • Evaluate project plans to establish efficient material staging areas, reducing delivery frequency and labor re-mobilization.
  • Review work orders for precision and schedule material deliveries to prevent production delays.
  • Identify additional work outside the original scope and communicate with clients to agree on change order processes that ensure payment at pre-established rates.
  • Assist project managers in monitoring expenses, negotiating change orders, and resolving discrepancies in reported labor hours while addressing client concerns effectively.
  • Act as a communication bridge between field operations and office staff by providing daily reports from site visits, including progress updates and completion percentages.
  • Conduct regular safety audits in accordance with company compliance protocols.
  • Monitor project timelines, daily output, and any impacts on costs and schedules, offering solutions to meet client deadlines when necessary.
  • Support the local sales team in preparing estimates for new installation projects.
  • Engage in professional development programs to enhance knowledge of flooring products and installation techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business Management, or equivalent experience as a Journeyman Installer.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the flooring industry.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including proficiency with fractions and measurements.
  • Ability to interpret and understand written reports and documentation.
  • Capability to visually assess compliance of flooring products.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30 training certification is preferred.
