Job Title: Transportation Supervisor

Dawn Foods is a leading bakery manufacturing and ingredients distribution company, committed to delivering exceptional products and services to our customers. As a Transportation Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution centers, managing the day-to-day transportation activities, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the transportation operations, including routing, scheduling, and tracking of vehicles.
  • Supervise and train transportation team members, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and audit driver logbooks, ensuring compliance with Dawn Foods' policy and DOT regulations.
  • Ensure all safety policies and requirements are enforced and followed.
  • Coordinate with operations, procurement, and sales teams to optimize delivery schedules and meet customer needs.
  • Investigate customer complaints and make necessary adjustments to resolve issues.
  • Follow all procedures stated in the program and direct the activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking vehicles.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of transportation management experience with a full understanding of FMCSA and DOT Regulations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in written and oral form.
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Training and experience in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and SAP.
  • Previously used routing and GPS Systems (RoadNet, GreenMile, GeoTab) preferred.
  • CDL A preferred.

  • Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to withstand cool and/or cold temperatures.
  • Normal setting for this job is plant/office.
  • Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
