Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct imaging examinations adhering to specific protocols to ensure high-quality results utilizing advanced imaging techniques.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of modality-specific ancillary equipment, including but not limited to laser cameras, fluoroscopic devices, contrast injectors, and PACS/RIS workstations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all relevant patient and procedural information, including medical history, examination details, and demographic data.
- Prepare patients for procedures by providing clear instructions to achieve optimal outcomes while alleviating anxiety through effective communication.
- Implement safety protocols to minimize risks to patients and staff, adhering to established standards such as ALARA and MRI safety.
- Continuously assess patient conditions, ensuring their physical and psychological needs are met throughout the imaging process, including pre and post-procedure education.
- Assist in performing quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure equipment compliance with regulatory standards.
- Take responsibility for maintaining a clean and well-stocked work environment, meeting the standards set for each imaging modality.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives specific to the imaging department.
- Facilitate effective communication with colleagues and patients to support the smooth operation of the department.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications relevant to healthcare, including HIS, RIS, and PACS.
- Exhibit analytical skills and basic problem-solving abilities.
- Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Must hold a valid Registered Radiologic Technologist certification.
- ARRT (R) certification is required; (M) certification is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.
- Work Type: Per Diem
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
