Patient Care

As a Radiology Technologist Clinic Specialist at WMCHealth, you will provide high-quality examinations in diagnostic radiography, special procedures, and interventional procedures. You will practice the code of ethics of Radiology Technology and interact with attending physicians, Radiologists, and co-workers to provide quality patient care, using all pertinent clinical data (history, prior exams).

Communication

You will demonstrate the ability to process and interface appropriate information between the Radiologist, healthcare team, patient, family, and/or significant other to ensure quality patient outcomes. You will also inventory and restock supplies as necessary in the Radiology room.

Documentation

You will complete all exam documentation (i.e., film marking, patient records, equipment records) and enter data on patient tracking, repeats, charges, and exam completions into the RIS system on a daily basis. You will perform clerical duties related to the completion of exams as directed and ensure all patient data in PACS is accurate.

CQI

You will participate in data collection (i.e., monitoring studies, research) and identify problems/trends within Diagnostic Imaging utilizing ongoing QA/CQI activities to improve the quality of Diagnostic Imaging Services.

Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum of one year experience preferred. High School graduate or equivalent required. Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology. Thorough understanding of the principles and procedures of modern Radiologic Technology. Valid New York State Radiographic license from the Department of Health. Cross-training in other modalities of Diagnostic Imaging, based on the needs of the department and job qualifications.
