Job Summary: In the role of Safety Compliance Coordinator, you will oversee and execute safety initiatives and policies to guarantee a secure and compliant workplace. Collaborating closely with management and personnel, you will identify potential hazards, facilitate safety training, and enforce compliance with regulatory standards. Your contributions will be vital in accident prevention and ensuring adherence to both corporate and DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, implement, and uphold safety policies and procedures in alignment with OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • Conduct routine safety audits and inspections to detect potential risks and propose corrective measures.
  • Lead and conduct safety training sessions for staff, ensuring comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Examine accidents and incidents, compile detailed reports, and suggest strategies to avert future occurrences.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with management to address safety issues and advocate for a culture of continuous enhancement.
  • Maintain precise safety records and documentation, including incident reports and training logs.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and regulatory bodies during inspections and evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a safety supervisory or related capacity within a manufacturing context.
  • Proven experience with DOT regulations and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform safety audits, inspections, and investigations.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
