Position Overview:

The Warehouse Equipment Service Specialist is tasked with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various dock and door systems according to client requirements. This role involves working on Commercial and Industrial Rolling and Panel Overhead Doors, Dock Levelers, Dock Locks, Safety Gates, and Truck Shelters, all while prioritizing customer satisfaction and adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete all essential safety training and adhere to safe work practices
  • Acquire necessary certifications for equipment operation
  • Achieve targets for key performance indicators
  • Maintain service vehicle, uniforms, and inventory
  • Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and execute installations and repairs effectively
  • Keep detailed records of all service activities and repairs
  • Collaborate with dispatch to optimize operational efficiency
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule and uphold a clean driving record
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three years of relevant experience preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with welding and cutting torch preferred
  • Familiarity with lift truck and scissor lift operation preferred
  • Basic understanding of D.C. and A.C. electricity preferred
  • Fundamental knowledge of hydraulic systems preferred
  • Strong customer service and time management abilities
  • Must maintain a clean driving record and be capable of lifting heavy items
