Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Surface Treatment Specialist to maintain all painted, stained, and varnished surfaces on our campus. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all surfaces are clean, sharp, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities:
  • Repair and paint drywall surfaces ranging from fire tape to level 5 finish
  • Plan, supervise, and coordinate contractors and/or employees assigned to a project
  • Maintain equipment and inventory
  • Estimate project costs
  • Maintain parking lot striping, curbs, etc.
  • Maintain unique surfaces (liquid floor coatings, door and trim stain, varnishes, resin)
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with others
  • Be a Christian role model to students
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-culturally
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Have a wide knowledge of paint, stains, and varnishes
  • Know applicable building codes and OSHA regulations
  • Can follow instructions, problem-solve, and complete tasks
  • Can work in a team setting and independently
  • Are willing to adapt to changing schedules and job duties
  • Can prioritize tasks and learn new skills
  • Can communicate effectively in English
  • Can lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical activities
  • Have a clean driving record and valid driver's license
  • Can adjust to frequent changes in work assignments
  • Have legal authorization to work in the United States
