Job Summary

Prisma Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic patient care services using advanced medical sonography techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures using independent judgment to accurately differentiate between normal and pathological findings.
  • Analyze sonograms, synthesizing sonographic information and medical history, and communicate findings to physicians.
  • Ensure patient comfort and maintain a sanitary and organized environment.
  • Operate PACS systems, verify studies, and communicate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain ethical standards, adhere to HIPAA mandates, and follow Prisma Health guidelines.
  • Participate in mentoring and supervising sonography students, and perform quality checks on sonograms.
Requirements
  • Credentialed Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • One or more of the following credentials: Abdomen, OBGYN, and Pediatric.
  • BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ARRT in Radiology.
  • PACS experience.
