We are seeking a highly skilled Sonographer to join our team at Physicians East, a multi-specialty group based in Greenville, NC. As a Sonographer, you will play a critical role in assisting our doctors with diagnosing and monitoring various conditions using high-frequency sound waves to take images of the body's internal organs and tissues.
Responsibilities- Use sonographic equipment to record images of the motion, shape, and composition of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses.
- Work directly with patients to ensure clear images for diagnostic purposes and make adjustments to the sonographic equipment as needed.
- Provide documentation of individual patient care according to history and clinical information obtained from ultrasound study and quality assurance documentation.
- Explain the rationale for ultrasound procedures to patients, answer questions, and prepare patients for the exam.
- Recognize changes in patient status and communicate with physicians as needed.
- Associate's degree or completion of a program in medical sonography.
- Registered or registry eligible by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in abdomen, GYN, vascular, or breast.
- Two years of clinical experience preferred.
