About the Role

Samaritas is seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team in providing trauma-informed treatment to unaccompanied children in our long-term foster care program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct therapeutic services to clients, including individual and group counseling sessions
  • Administer behavioral and mental health assessments for youth
  • Coordinate services with case managers to ensure comprehensive support
  • Participate in staff meetings and provide clinical feedback on client treatment needs
  • Facilitate education and support services for foster parents
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of clinical activities
  • Provide crisis intervention and guidance to youth and foster families
  • Work collaboratively with community-based organizations to provide counseling services
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field with clinical experience
  • Licensure to provide clinical services in Michigan or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • At least two years of experience in child welfare or case management, preferably with refugee and immigrant populations
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish proficiency, with additional compensation for bilingual candidates
