Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker Assistant to join our Refugee Foster Care team. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to our social workers, ensuring the well-being and safety of our foster children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport foster children to medical appointments, clinics, and other relevant locations
  • Supervise children during appointments and maintain a safe and supportive environment
  • Develop and maintain complete progress notes for assigned cases using computerized software
  • Obtain reports and resource information from other agencies on behalf of social workers
  • Assist with case assessments and develop casework plans
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in human services or related field, or high school diploma/equivalent and 60 college credits or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • One year experience in child welfare or refugee resettlement program preferred
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license with good driving record and reliable transportation
