Job Summary

U.S. Farathane is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to support the company's quality system. The successful candidate will be responsible for auditing in-process product, maintaining documentation, and performing receiving and dock audits as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform receiving inspection and dock auditing to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to determine product quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain variable charts and monitor data received from sub-contractors.
  • Assist in sort operations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including quality manual, associate handbooks, and level II procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and standards.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage.
  • Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and speak effectively before groups.
  • Ability to perform simple math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing or walking for long periods of time.
  • Regularly lifting or lowering objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Frequent reaching above/below shoulder and forward.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, and crouching.
  • Specific vision abilities required, including ability to adjust focus and distinguish color variation.
Working Environment
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasional exposure to extreme heat and vibration.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • May be required to work outside for short periods of time.
