About the Role

The Senior Cook - Section Leader is a key position at 34 Restaurant and Bar, responsible for overseeing their section and ensuring that all aspects of food preparation meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage their section, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to restaurant standards.
  • Maintain close communication with Sous Chefs and the Chef de Cuisine to review recipes and confirm that inventory and equipment are in place for service.
  • Ensure that Mise en Place is in order, with all necessary ingredients and supplies readily available.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement new menu items and promotions.
  • Monitor and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Cook or equivalent role in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on quality and presentation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
