Job Title: Sports Reporter

We are seeking a skilled Sports Reporter to join our team at Lee Enterprises. As a Sports Reporter, you will be responsible for covering local sports news, including Division I athletics at Liberty University, Division III athletics, high school sports, and minor league baseball.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cover local sports news, including games, events, and interviews
  • Write engaging articles and reports for our publications
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of local sports teams and athletes
  • Collaborate with other reporters and editors to ensure accurate and comprehensive coverage

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in sports journalism or related field
  • Strong writing and reporting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
