About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist IV to join our team as a Mammography Specialist. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body, assisting physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.
  • Prepare Patients for Procedures: Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Adjust Equipment and Settings: Adjust immobilization devices and equipment controls to obtain optimal views of specified areas of the body, as requested by physicians.
  • Process and Review Images: Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians, processing and reviewing them for proper identification and quality control.
  • Maintain Equipment and Records: Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment, maintaining accurate records and logs of work performed.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a Specialty (Identify specialty: Either IR, or CT, or Mammography, or Quality Management) OR one year of experience in a Specialty with an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in that Specialty.
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California), Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California), Basic Life Support, and ACLS (when required for the position).
