This essential position, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for driving the technical leadership in wood engineering within the organization. Key duties encompass:
- Managing workplace and laboratory safety protocols.
- Overseeing compliance with codes and regulatory standards.
- Leading the development of industry standards.
- Conducting product evaluations and certifications.
The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree in civil or structural engineering, complemented by over 15 years of substantial experience in wood products, timber engineering, or construction.
Extensive knowledge in wood product testing, building regulations, and standards formulation is essential, with a preference for candidates familiar with ISO 17020, 17025, and holding a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
This is a newly established role, and while we are open to market insights for compensation, the anticipated salary range is $225,000 - $230,000, in addition to relocation assistance (if required) and a comprehensive benefits package.
When determining compensation, we take into account your experience, educational background, and other relevant job-related factors.
