Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide Expert Legal Guidance: Offer expert legal advice and guidance on labor and employment matters to clients, ensuring they are well-informed and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Manage Diverse Caseload: Handle a diverse range of cases, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage disputes, with a focus on providing exceptional client service.
  3. Represent Clients in Litigation: Represent clients in labor and employment litigation proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals, with a strong emphasis on achieving optimal outcomes.
  4. Stay Up-to-Date on Labor Laws: Stay abreast of labor and employment laws, regulations, and precedents to ensure accurate and up-to-date legal counsel, and provide proactive compliance advice to clients.
  5. Review and Negotiate Employment Contracts: Review and negotiate employment contracts, severance agreements, and other employment-related documents, ensuring they are fair and compliant with relevant laws.
  6. Ensure Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure clients' adherence to relevant labor laws and regulations, providing proactive compliance advice and developing and conducting training programs on employment law compliance and best practices.
  7. Facilitate Settlements and Negotiations: Facilitate settlements and negotiations in employment-related disputes through mediation or arbitration, with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
  8. Communicate Effectively: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, updating them on legal developments and advising on potential risks, and drafting and reviewing legal documents, including complaints, motions, and legal memoranda.
  9. Collaborate with Internal Teams: Collaborate with internal teams, co-counsel, and external stakeholders to achieve optimal legal outcomes for clients, and ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the litigation process.
Requirements
  1. Juris Doctorate (J.D.) required; fully licensed in California with a minimum of three (3) years of litigation experience required.
  2. Demonstrated commitment to a strong work ethic, including high dedication, reliability, and accountability.
  3. Specialization or significant experience in labor and employment law.
  4. Proven litigation experience in labor and employment matters.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess legal issues and provide effective solutions.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise legal counsel.
  7. High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
  8. Strong negotiation skills for effective resolution of disputes.
  9. Ability to work collaboratively with legal teams and clients.
Compensation and Benefits
  1. $145,000 to $225,000 per year, DOE.
  2. Full Benefits Package.
