About the Position

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to serve as the ESOL Program Coordinator/Instructor at the Center for Family Life in Sunset Park. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the Adult Literacy Program at a migrant shelter in Midtown Manhattan.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and executing outreach efforts to engage new applicants
  • Administering English language testing (BEST Plus)
  • Collaborating with ESL instructors on curriculum development and classroom performance
  • Providing case management services, including individualized training plans and referrals to social services
  • Establishing partnerships with local organizations to meet student needs

A bachelor's degree in Education, ESL, TESOL, English, or a related field, along with at least 2 years of teaching experience, is required. Bilingual English/Spanish skills and strong communication abilities are essential.

This is a 35-hour per week position, offering a salary of $45,000 with benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 403(b) Retirement plan, PTO, and other voluntary benefits. We are an equal-opportunity employer.
