As a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be responsible for providing patient support and communication and facilitating an exceptional patient experience to build and reinforce satisfaction, trust, and drive organizational loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and preparing patients for their appointments
- Informing patients of relevant and required information for their visit
- Providing clear communication around the services they are scheduled to receive
- Performing point-of-care laboratory tests, EKGs, suture/staple removal, dressing changes, and other patient care activities
- Collecting and documenting vital signs, histories, and screenings
- Authorizing prescription refills as directed
- Preparing patients, room, and supplies for visits or examinations
- Performing phlebotomy and correctly processing specimens
- Cleaning and maintaining treatment rooms and equipment
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant or eligible within 90 days of hire, or active and unencumbered LPN license to practice per state requirements
- 1 year of experience preferred
- Phlebotomy experience required
- Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred; required within 90 days of employment
- High School Diploma/Equivalency required
- Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or ER preferred
