Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at Jefferson Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. As a Mental Health Technician, you will provide direct bedside care to patients, assist the RN in delivering care, observe patient behaviors, and report/document any changes in patients' mood or behavior in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one sessions with assigned patients as needed.
- Maintain a full patient caseload with an assigned primary nurse in an inpatient setting and provide care for all patients effectively and compassionately.
- Report/document any changes in patients' mood or behavior in a timely fashion.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At Least 12 college credits, and full college degree preferred.
- BS or BA in behavioral health field preferred.
- One-year experience with behavioral health clients preferred.
- BLS through AHA required.
- Must be trained in PEAT and able to safely schedule and restrain an aggressively acting out patient.

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University.
