We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing direct bedside care to patients in our inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the RN in delivering care, observing patient behaviors, and reporting any changes in patients' mood or behavior in a timely fashion.
  • Provide one-on-one sessions with assigned patients as needed.
  • Maintain a full patient caseload with an assigned primary nurse and provide care for all patients effectively and compassionately.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 12 college credits, and a full college degree preferred.
  • BS or BA in a behavioral health field preferred.
  • One-year experience with behavioral health clients preferred.
  • BLS through AHA required.
  • Must be trained in PEAT and able to safely schedule and restrain an aggressively acting out patient.
