Clinical Informatics Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team at Bluebird Staffing. This is a contract position expected to last 6-12 months, with a hybrid work arrangement that includes 2 weeks of remote work and 2 weeks of onsite work in a stunning location in Alaska.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in clinical informatics, including strategic planning and cross-departmental collaboration. They will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, fostering collaboration across departments, and managing large-scale implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for clinical informatics initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement clinical informatics solutions
  • Lead large-scale implementations of clinical informatics systems
  • Develop and maintain expertise in specialized IT platforms, advanced data analytics tools, and system integration software
  • Provide expert-level leadership, strategic planning, and team mentorship

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in clinical informatics
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, IT, informatics, or a related field (equivalent coursework or years of experience may be acceptable)
  • Expected to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of health informatics and strategic system optimization
  • Expert-level leadership, strategic planning, and team mentorship abilities
  • Expert knowledge of IT platforms, advanced data analytics, and healthcare system integration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Advanced Health Informatics Certification (AHIC) or equivalent
  • 8+ years of direct experience in a strategic informatics role, with expertise in healthcare system integrations and advanced data analytics
