Licensed Practical Nurse

This position is responsible for providing patient care services to students at Elizabeth City State University. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in practical nursing and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Conduct routine health screenings and vital sign checks
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on health-related topics
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care
- Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in the State of North Carolina
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Experience working in a student health setting
- Knowledge of patient care software and electronic health records
- Ability to provide basic life support and emergency care
