Job Title: Associate Cloud Solution Engineer

Deltek is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Cloud Solution Engineer to join our Global Cloud team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Cloud Solution Architecture team by focusing on engineering and architecture tasks such as performance analysis, testing, and assisting in the development of technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform performance analysis and system optimizations across cloud-based applications.
  • Assist in setting up Proof of Concept (POC) environments and execute testing to validate architecture designs and system behavior.
  • Collaborate with senior architects and engineers to develop and document cloud solution designs.
  • Engage in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve performance bottlenecks, issues, and defects.
  • Develop small utilities or automation scripts to improve efficiency in cloud deployments and operations.
  • Work with the Cost Optimization team to identify opportunities for reducing cloud spend and improving resource utilization.
  • Demonstrate POC concepts to stakeholders and teams, ensuring clarity on technical solutions and expected results.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's / Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in cloud engineering or solution architecture (internship experience acceptable).
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OCI.
  • Familiarity with system performance analysis, cloud-based testing, and monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization, virtualization, and multi-tenancy principles is a plus.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to learn new technologies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with a focus on collaboration.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under the guidance of senior team members.
