Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our core management team at C & S Fencing Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day operational functions, including project management, employee supervision, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the company's operational functions, including project management, employee supervision, and inventory control.
  • Organize and schedule current and future projects with field crews, considering timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Supervise and manage warehouse employees, inventory tracking, and organization.
  • Oversee all employee functions, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and planning & assigning work.
  • Contribute operations information to the core management team for strategic plans and reviews.
  • Forecast requirements, prepare an annual budget, and analyze variances.
  • Develop operations systems, including product handling and storage requirements, and develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures.
  • Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience as an Operations Manager, preferably in a construction setting.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • Strategic leader with a strong coaching mentality and superb customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with executives, employees, customers, & vendors.
  • Understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles.
  • Strong personal and professional judgment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to forecast and plan two steps ahead.
