Job Description

">

This Nursing Leadership and Patient Care Specialist role involves coordinating unit staffing and providing leadership to ensure implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care. You will assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, contributing to performance evaluations and assessing daily patient care needs.

Responsibilities

">

  • Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care.">
  • Assign, direct, educate and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shift.">
  • Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff.">
  • Audit daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments, ensuring that population appropriate patient care is given.">
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.">
  • Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.">
  • May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 30 days of hire date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.">
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date required.">
  • 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.
