AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in the Mid-Atlantic region. As a key member of our geotechnical team, you will be responsible for leading and managing mid- to large-scale projects, providing technical expertise, and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage mid- to large-scale projects, including conducting engineering analysis and overseeing design and reporting.
- Provide technical expertise for various projects, including subsurface investigation planning and execution, foundation design, slope stability, seepage analysis, retaining wall design, settlement analyses, and ground improvement techniques.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, lead discipline/department efforts to grow technical expertise, and provide specialized technical input to studies and design.
- Approve and sign off on work, lead proposal efforts, and contribute to business development efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field and 8+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Active PE License.
- Preferred qualifications include 15+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, 2+ years of project management experience, and a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
