Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Representative to join our team. As a Senior Claims Representative, you will be responsible for handling all phases of assigned complex claims, from initial contact through final resolution. You will carefully document all claims information and maintain accurate records, complying with Claim Department Standards of Performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Secures all required claim related information and documents the claim for compliance and management review
  • Attends initial meetings with municipal officials and defense counsel
  • Provides written reports to management on all cases
  • Works within settlement authority structure, including drafting requests for settlement authority
  • Issues claims payments and includes all payment documentation in the claim file
  • Conducts all aspects of claim investigation
  • Collaborates with defense counsel and management team to facilitate positive claim resolution
  • Assists in member orientation/reorientations and training
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) required, along with the ability to handle in a professional manner matters of a sensitive or difficult nature
  • Minimum of three years handling professional/employment liability claims
  • College degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle required
