Compensation: $200,000+ with an attractive bonus structure.

Your Contributions:

  • Manage and strategize complex personal injury cases.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Engage with clients compassionately to understand their narratives.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and attention to detail.
  • Possess experience in various case-related settings, including mediations, arbitrations, depositions, hearings, trials, and client interactions.
  • Exhibit confidence and poise in the courtroom, effectively connecting with juries and presenting compelling arguments.
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients.
  • Analyze legal and medical data to assess insurance coverage, liability, damages, and overall strategy.
  • Conduct research, guide clients, and manage preparations for case-related events.
  • Develop settlement brochures, strategies, and arguments for case presentations, ensuring legal compliance regarding disbursements and settlement funds.
  • Utilize available technology effectively to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with professionals in the communities we serve to enhance brand recognition and client service.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications:

  • JD degree from an accredited institution.
  • NC State Bar membership required (additional State Bar memberships are advantageous).
  • 10+ years of civil litigation experience with a minimum of 15 cases tried to verdict in North Carolina Superior Court (or equivalent in other jurisdictions) and/or United States District Court.
  • Lead attorney experience in successfully litigating complex personal injury cases to verdict in state and federal courts, including trucking and/or catastrophic injury cases.
  • Preferred affiliation with specific trade groups focused on catastrophic injury cases (e.g., Defense Research Institute (DRI), National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys, NC Trucking Association, Trucking Industry Defense Association, Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys).
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in decision-making.
  • Capacity to instruct, mentor, and evaluate team members, while effectively communicating and using discretion.
  • Ability to analyze facts, draw logical conclusions, and maintain collaborative relationships with clients and team members.
