Job Description

At Youth & Family Services, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Infant Toddler to join our team at the Child Development Center. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of energy, patience, and commitment to providing a nurturing environment for our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement activities to advance the development of children, focusing on literacy, phonemic awareness, numeric awareness, and problem-solving skills.
  • Promote healthy food choices and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity.
  • Use observations, medical evaluations, and parental insights to individualize care and ensure each child's unique needs are met.
  • Create a safe, learning environment that fosters intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and aesthetic development.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Individualized Family Services Plans (IFSPs).
  • Plan and implement home visits and parent-teacher conferences to engage families and support their involvement in the child's development.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate records, data entry, and completion of necessary documents in a timely manner.
  • Actively supervise and engage children at all times to ensure their safety.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential must be obtained within a designated timeframe.
  • Ability to communicate and cooperate with children, staff, and parents effectively and tactfully.
  • Ability to work with people of all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Current vehicle liability insurance and a valid driver's license required.
