Manufacturing Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Co. This role will be responsible for supporting Global Automated Line Control (GALC) systems, including tooling selection, tooling controller programming, complex problem solving, countermeasure development, and GALC system loading/updating.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and optimize Mass Production DC tools through torque data analysis, equipment management, and countermeasure activity for daily torque/GALC issues.
- Countermeasure and communicate daily production issues related to torque and lot control.
- Maintain activity tracking database daily, providing communication between shifts on important tool-related issues.
- Lead department regarding calibration requirements.
- Maintain and monitor all DC tool calibration and schedules.
- Lead assigned GALC business plan projects (installation, training, debug, and follow-up) to achieve continuous improvement of SQCDM.
- Investigate new technology and collaborate with suppliers to find innovative tool solutions that will improve cost of ownership.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial and Robotics); or equivalent relevant experience.
- No experience required if degree obtained, co-op preferred.
- Problem analysis skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word), CAD (Catia, and AutoCAD), Time management.
- Ability to read drawings/flowcharts/specifications, trouble shoot problems, multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, work in a team environment as well as independently, and present to varying audiences.
This role requires the ability to travel, both domestic and international, and may require weekend and holiday work. Moderate lifting may be required.
