Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team at the City of Sheboygan, WI. As a Firefighter/Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical care and transportation to patients, and participating in fire prevention and education programs.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care and transportation to patients.
  • Participate in fire prevention and education programs to promote public safety.
  • Operate and maintain fire apparatus and equipment.
  • Perform rescue operations and provide emergency medical care.
  • Participate in training and drills to maintain and improve skills.
  • Work collaboratively with other emergency responders and city staff to provide effective emergency services.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Emergency medical licensure by the State of Wisconsin required.
  • Firefighting certification to the level deemed appropriate and necessary by the Fire Chief required.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in hazardous environments required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others required.
